Nishibe Bunjo (1925-1994) - Longevity
Nishibe Bunjo (1925-1994) Born in Kokoku-ji temple of Hikone city, Shiga prefecture. He entered the Buddhist priesthood in 1935 at Kojo-ji temple of Obama city, Fukui prefecture. He graduated from Otani university in 1951. He entered Zen training hall of Nanzen-ji temple, and was trained under Shibayama Zenkei. In 1974, he became the chief priest of Dojyu-in, a sub-temple of Tofuku-ji temple of Kyoto.
